it's not a shame if you can't make things like this by yourself, that's what tutorials are for! :)
I wasn't born with the ability to make neat icons either. :D

I tried and I think I'm pleased with my first couple! I will keep practicing and trying new things, but these are the 2 I made using your tutorial:

ooooww excellent results! :) you see the key is to experiment! (I think I'm gonna make a couple more and I'll try to make ones which have different effects.
