Haha, that's great. Was he saying that he was worried your child wouldn't have the ability to vote?

BTW, my roommate got that travel agency's special rate for flying to Japan. She's flying into Tokyo--alone!--on April 5 and heading south, planning on stopping in Kyoto before making her way to her friend's place somewhere south. I'm so jealous! I want so very much to come visit!

I don't know what he was saying. From a factual standpoint, my child will be able to vote if (s)he decides to become a Japanese citizen. (S)he will have to make that decision around age 22. Basically, he just likes talking about history, wars, and suffrage. He'll take whatever angle he can to start a conversation on those topics. Oops, I said conversation. I meant to start a "talking-at session".

I'm glad your friend got to use the deal. One of my other friends said she couldn't use the deal because they wanted her to go and leave on dates nearly a month apart, which is strange because it's supposed to be an unlimited availability deal.
