if i were a superhero... my superpower would be the ability to generate large quantities of electricity. this is NOT A MEME. this is the truth of things.

ah! that reminds me.. when i walked into my new room, BOTH light bulbs blew out in the ceiling light... they put new ones in and it was fine... but it kinda scared my roomates a little. they had replaced them at different times, and the light had been on while i was looking around the living room.. it was like i walked in, and they shorted out. :/
I have the same problem! The conditions are usually dry weather and some odd weirdness in the air. It hasn't happened so much up here, but in SB my car would shock me ALL the time. In very painful ways.
It used to get so bad my hair used to stand up on end. And I couldnt touch anybody, or else... zap!
haha! maybe we're part of a scientific experiment!
my hair would always stand on end too, especially in winter. it does seem to be better here on the west coast, but i really wish i could vacuum without getting zapped! :/
in a way it's a pain, but it's also kind of neat in a sci-fi kind of way. heehee
I have the same problem with sunlight allergy. How very goth. I confess I don't have the same issue with eyeliner I confess though. I used to really worry about it, as someone told me once (when I was much younger) that if you sneezed more than 5 times you would die. A year or two later I sneezed 8-10 times and survived, so either I'm more resilient than most or it was entirely urban legend/retard rumor.
I heard the same deal about the 2 neurons thing, but I have no idea if it's any more true than death by sneezing.
When I was younger I would rub my feet on a carpet and be able to shock someone, but only sometimes I saw the trail of electricity flow from me to them. I can't do it for the life of me now. Looks like it is far easier for you!
Thats really interesting. I sometimes sneeze when I walk out into the sun....but I guess I could say "I sometimes sneeze when..... " for anything, so that doesnt count.
my brother and i would have battles where we would rub our feet on the carpet and zap each other, when we were little..
it seems to happen more with machines/appliances now, with me...and random metal things. luckily my hair doesn't stand on end anymore... it's kind of embarassing when i go to shake someone's hand and i shock them. :P happily, that is only a rare thing... but still.. embarassing.
i'm going to research that sun sneeze thing and make a new post when i find something conclusive.. it seems that a lot of people have "it".
Thank you for sharing that basketball zapping story. It was highly amusing. XD When I was a kid I noticed getting static often as well. It doesn't seem to happen as much anymore.
