Finished my last class today! I am SO ready to go home for the holidays and excited to see everyone. I am in a great mood today-- prof liked our presentation. We decided to forego Powerpoint, and did ours with this nifty new flash-based presentation program:

Hehe not to disregard the more serious sketches but my favourite part is the cheery "death!" :D
The eyes of the left version of the first one remind me strangely of my cousin in Winnipeg. Who is 1/4 Japanese. The hair is the second is amazing ... although again the happy reaper steals the show :) And the Pieta one lovely. Although after I went and found out what the Pieta is and checked out a picture of it, it seems like Mary in your version looks a little too content... although in the Pieta she is still quite serene looking, even though her son was crucified.
Also I was just majorly disturbed my the avatar of the person above me. lol.

Yeah, I guess I wasn't trying to copy the Pieta outright, and the Mary in this one is not necessarily anguished or anything. Maybe it's her face at the time of her son's birth. But you're right, I've always thought the Pieta Mary was very stoic in her grief. (Isn't it crazy that Michelangelo completed that statue when he was younger than us???)

Nice pics! Personally, I love the happy death drawing. If only death were so inviting... hmm.. don't show it to any depressed people. =P
Oh, and to answer your question from before, I'll be in school on Christmas day. It's okay though. I'll be going to Hong Kong next week for 10 days. My Cantonese sucks big time now. =/ Luckily, I'll be with family, so I don't have to embarrass myself too much. I imagine you've gotten back to par with your Chinese. What are your plans for Christmas? Do you get a month off or only a couple of weeks?
WOO for Disney! You should see "The Princess and the Frog." My sisters said it was SOOOOO good, though they say a lot of films are good... =)
