boring life stuff

Jun 15, 2009 18:06

I left this blog pretty derelict and completely forgot to write about the last D'espa gig (May 24, Bottom Line) mostly because notafanboy and harmlessbondage were there too and already wrote amazingly comprehensive reports. Nonetheless, I'm going to save the setlist and a few notes here for my own sake.

D'espairsRay @ Nagoya Bottom Line, May 24/09 )

tv, personal, live report, bsg, d'espairsray, rant

Ahhh, maybe it was an act of a lovelorn man. Haaahahaha. We are having way too much fun with this "Karyu got dumped" theory >;D
200000?! How is that even possible?! x_X

I swear it must be true! If you see him anytime soon, make more notes to support our theory. (Sadly, they are playing Russia on my birthday and it would've been so awesome if those were my birthday plans!)

I KNOW, it's outrageous. Have you gotten yours yet? I thought Nagoya residents got their tax notices earlier. A friend of mine who lives in Kanayama got billed for the same amount as me.

I dunno... my taxes are being subtracted from my paycheck every month by the university administration, I've never had to handle any tax papers myself. Now you scared me >_> As far as I remember I pay about 10000-12000 yen per month in residential taxes, but only starting this year, I didn't have to pay for the previous two years, because of some sort of agreement between Russian and Japanese governments... or maybe I'm mixing it up with some other taxes I pay...

I kind of wish my school just took the taxes straight out of my paycheque, because 12000 yen a month is a lot more reasonable than dumping 200,000yen at once at the combini. Gahh, I don't know what I should do... I guess I should suck it up and just pay it. T_T

It's such bad English it's unbelievable! lol. The worst part is that it is really catchy.

Yeah, but I should probably do the right thing and pay it. :( I'd hate to be known as the foreigner who shirked her civil duties.

Hahaha, I guess it wouldn't have made much sense to you.

Jia Jia, those taxes sound brutal. :( And I'm curious: exactly what decisions do you have to make..? I think you've mentioned a couple to me, but certainly the void that you're talking about here! (Of course, you can just wait until gmail chatting if it's too personal.)

Concert sounds like it was fun, and wet, lol.

Karyu's all lovesick and he still goes out to perform. What a trooper. It's kinda awkward when members are visibly upset on stage.

I thought you only had to pay those taxes if you lived there X amount of years. Has this amount been accumulating the whole time you've been in Japan?

Yeah, I think Karyu shows his mood the most on stage. The rest of them more or less always act the same, but Karyu is variable.

I had to pay them last year, but the amount was significantly less, like 30,000yen only. It spiked up this year! From asking others in my situation, it seemed like a normal amount. Then again, it all depends on prefecture and city too.
