Her trip back home had been a disaster. Her brother hadn't been there, and the family mansion was dormant and unkept. Emma had actually found dust on some of her father's collected antiques. So it was ironic that she would actually be looking forward to returning to the X-Mansion, a place that was much more unkept, but at least it was lived in.
However, the moment Emma stepped inside the building she paused in the foyer, looking around both with her physical eyes and her mind. Something wasn't right. Someone here was horribly out of place and wrong.
[[WHAT IS GOING ON?]]
The mental message was broadcast loudly enough to get every mutant in the building, and she did not bother to tone it down a bit. The weaker ones would get headaches, the stronger minds would simply be annoyed by it, but all would be aware that she was back now.
