It wasn't that she didn't know that Hank was here, given that this had always been 'his room' when he'd lived here. And now that he was back to teach a few classes while Erik was still unable to do so, it made sense that this would be the room he'd migrate to. But she just...she wasn't used to seeing him here, having his presence walk around this place, not anymore. So when she'd walked in to get a few bandages for a rather nasty slice on her back, she hadn't expected to see him, bottle pulled out from a cupboard, dust along the glass as he poured.

She stopped momentarily, eyes on his back, before she moved into the lab, intending to get what she needed and leave. It wasn't like she wouldn't heal on her own after a time, after all. And it had been hard...when he'd left, their burgeoning friendship cut dramatically short, her ignoring his phone calls and him eventually stopping the calls entirely. It was just going to be awkward now and she wanted to avoid the whole situation as much as possible.

It wasn't that Hank's mutation included super-sonic hearing, but it was hard to ignore someone when they entered the room. Especially when that someone was a pretty blond you used to know. When Hank turned, his expression was a mix of confusion, exasperation and welcoming. Yes, he was back on her turf, but that didn't mean that he could never play the host. Especially not in this room.

"Amara. Is there something I can do for you?" He asked, the glass yet to reach his lips, but not leaving his hand neither. After all, he was going to likely need it before too long.

"Hank," she replied, giving him a small nod as she moved over to the cabinet where the bandages were kept, opening the door and bending down slightly with a wince so she could see into the cupboard. From this angle, he'd be able to see the way her shirt was completely stuck to her back, red streaks across her skin where the shirt rode up and the liquid was running down to her pants. "Just getting some of these," she finished, holding them up almost triumphantly as she stood back up.

He sighed, rolling his eyes at the first hint of her injuries. Training, proper training should not end with as much blood as they appeared to here. If it was up to him, there would a great deal more patience and far less bandages required. He walked quickly over to where she was standing, pulling a glove over one hand to take a look at her shirt. No request, simply a slight tug at the material.

"Let me look at this- I am a doctor after all."
