Elizabeth nodded, her heart going out to the man, for whom these memories were clearly traumatic. "I understand Sergeant," Elizabeth said. "Does anyone else have any questions for Sergeant Hernandez?" she asked, glancing around at her gathered senior staff.

Jack tried not to squirm in his seat. No one had been quite sure his testimony would be needed as to how Zelenka had gotten the gun, but he'd been asked to be there anyway. He'd already talked to Weir (and Heightmeyer) who agreed that his testimony would deal only with the Dumais Beretta and questions outside that, which might be edging toward private matters, wouldn't be allowed. Nonetheless, he hoped he wouldn't be called or, if he was, it would be miraculously after the majority of people-- McKay especially-- had left the room.

Carson didn't have any questions for the soldier. After all, the man used words like crazy and described how Radek had been very determined to kill the prisoner. He didn't understand Radek's native tongue so there was no way to find out what the Radek had been saying. Carson shook his head no.

Charin looked around at those assembled and then shook her head. "I believe there are no questions among my people, either, Doctor Weir. The testimony was as clear as one could expect, under the circumstances."

Elizabeth glanced around at the others present and, seeing no further interest in speaking, turned to address the pickups once again.

"Dr Zelenka," she said, "I want you to understand that you are not being required to give testimony here, and that this is not any kind of court of law, but that what you say here will be on public record. Given these facts, do you wish to offer any testimony or comments about your actions during the incident in question?"
