Tim trembled from the intensity of what he was feeling. His emotions were close to the surface and his body was on fire. Ridley's kisses deepened the intimacy and when his fingers touched him he hummed his pleasure. Tim matched his lover's rhythm not wanting to hurry or rush. There was a moment, though, when his feelings scared him. How could he feel like this? In this short amount of time? To force those thoughts away, he nuzzled Ridley's ear before sucking on his ear lobe.

Ridley closed his eyes and took a shuddering breath as Tim's mouth worked over his earlobe. "Love this," he murmured, wanting that pronoun to be different, but afraid to say the other thing, afraid of admitting it and having it all taken away like Suzanne. He lightly nipped at the skin of Tim's shoulder, aware that he shouldn't leave a mark, but wanting to, wanting to claim this man as his own. Out around the fire, several couples and other arrangements had announced things-- bondings, exclusivity, even a pregnancy. He remembered wanting to join in, make his and Tim's relationship more legitimate, at least among the Athosians. "I could stay like this for hours."

Tim wished Ridley had said something different about love but then again maybe his lover was more level headed. He wanted to be with Ridley forever and that scared him. "Mark me, make me yours," he said wanting some proof of their commitment. If they couldn't be out, couldn't be in love then he would at least have the mark while it lasted.

Ridley let out a groan at Tim's words. "We shouldn't," he said, then bit down on Tim's shoulder anyway, slowly sucking and working the skin with his teeth.
