Ridley awoke to a warm, solid weight against him and a terrible throbbing in his ankle. He opened his eyes and smiled to see Tim there, a leg and arm thrown over him. Ridley still had trouble believing this was all real. His contentment, however, was marred somewhat by the overwhelming need to visit the facilities and the pain in his foot and ankle ( Read more... )

"Hm, well, I don't recall anyone complaining," Ridley teased. "And I did suggest it." He snuggled in closer to Tim, knowing he was unlikely to get many more mornings waking up with the other man in his bed.

"No complaints. In fact, I only have praise," Tim replied as he held Ridley close. He only had two complaints and one was completely his fault and the second was one he had no control over. Today he would be moving his lover to the mainland. "This is nice," he admitted knowing it was the only thing he could admit to.

"Mmmhm," Ridley answered, slowly drawing in a breath, taking in Tim's scent. "You should go get the laptop and bring it back to bed, so we can be lazy and warm and you can still check your email." Part of him wanted just this-- warm and comfortable-- and part of him wanted to get in one more love-making session safe in the walls of Atlantis before his move to the Mainland.

Tim felt too good to move but knew if he wanted to have more time, he'd need to get the laptop and get work out of the way. "When you're right, you're right," he said as he slipped from his lover's warmth to get the computer.

Ridley buried his face in a pillow, which smelled like Tim, and just lay, trying to leave his brain switched off for a while. Of course, that wasn't to be. Instead, he found himself worrying about how this was all going to work out. Would Tim be comfortable visiting him on the Mainland? Would he be okay making love within the flimsy walls of a tent or would the fact that someone standing close might hear, even if they were being quiet, be too much of a turn-off? So many questions. And so many that really couldn't be answered till they found themselves in that situation.
