The morning had proceeded without incident and Ridley, Adam, and Belem had headed back to the jumper, arriving before the other teams. Ridley set out the thermoses of coffee, tea, and cocoa and the tray of sandwiches they'd gotten from the mess, ( and then sat down with his data pad )

Tim and his team arrived back at the jumper without too much difficulty. Patel's mood had thawed somewhat and Traan kept giving him funny looks but never really saying anything. All in all, it was a decent trip. However, thoughts of Parrish still plagued him.

Ridley glanced back and saw the man of his constant thoughts entering the jumper. He gave Tim a smile, his stomach fluttering, and then blushed as he remembered the other man above him and looked away. He didn't want to give too much away with Stackhouse and Patel there.

Tim was going to return Parrish's smile when the other man looked away as though he'd been burned. Maybe they weren't going to be friends in light if their unexpected intimacy? Still, he was the head of their team so he had to be professional no matter what. "Hey Parrish," he said in greeting.

"Lieutenant," Ridley answered, concentrating on his data pad screen as he felt his face turn hot. "There's, ah, sandwiches and hot drinks."

Tim stepped away from Parrish and reached for a sandwich and some coffee before having to take a seat next to the other man. He figured it was his imagination that he could feel Ridley's body heat. "So, find anything interesting?"
