Adam felt a nervous tingle, as usual before a mission, as he neared the briefing room. This was just a recon mission, but they were dealing with the Wraith. And the more they found out about them ( the better they'd be prepared the next time they had to face them. )

John looked up as the door opened and nodded. "Sergeant. We're just looking at the MALP telemetry from the planet. Can't see any settlements-- human or wraith-- in the vicinity of the gate. It's hot-- ninety-five Fahrenheit-- and humid-- seventy-four percent. Looks like forest or, really, jungle kind of vegetation."

Hendersson gave him a grin. "Doesn't that sound nice?"

Adam grinned back as he sat down. "Yeah, lovely change to the weather here."

Tim had nodded his acknowledgment to Stackhouse when the other soldier arrived for the briefing. They'd been going over the malp information and so far it was going to be a bite in the ass on the ground. Between the heat and the tangled vegetation, they needed to be very careful.

"It will feel more like more like the fifth ring of hell and with the vegetation we won't be able to get close with the jumper. I figure we do a cloaked fly over looking for anything we can find and then pinpoint a ground location, if needed," Tim added making sure to maintain the idea that this was a recon mission not a rescue.

"Sounds like a good plan," John said. "If there is a wraith facility, there may be clearings nearby. We can hope."
