John walked into his quarters and pulled off his jacket tiredly. He'd spent the last few hours trying to track down people who might have seen Jackson or Zelenka the previous night. For the most part, Christoph was perfectly content to spend most of the day in front of the Atlantis computers, working on translations of the Ancient databases, or poring into whatever alien texts offworld teams may have come across and brought back. It had been his passion for years, the learning of new languages, each one a new puzzle to unlock.

But all work and no play eventually does catch up, so after a few emails with John he made himself shut down for the day. Work would be there in the morning, after all. He walked over at a leisurely pace, letting his steps and the time pull his mind away from work-mode and into a more relaxed state. By the time he reached John's door and sounded the chime, his mind was as clear as he could make it at that point.

John laid back on the bed again, this time in boxers and tee-shirt. It was possible it wasn't Christoph out there, in which case this could be embarrassing, but right now he wasn't sure he cared. It wasn't like he was naked and he could always make up some explanation if needed. "Come in!"

He smiled when he stepped into the room. "Am I interrupting anything?" he asked, a cheeky smile on his face. If he went with his baser instincts he would've pounced by now, but he was in a playful mood.

"I'm often accused of starting something," he said, shrugging off his jacket as he walked closer. He tossed it on a chair - it landed half on, half on the floor. "Not often am I asked to start it."
