Day 52, noon, mess hall, attn. Halling, other hungry folkses [f]

Mar 23, 2009 22:27

Carson seemed tense all morning, and after Airman Jackson came to the infirmay he was even more disturbed. She wasn't sure if it was due to the fact that Radek was acused of assassinating the Wraith worshipper, so she decided to wait for the right moment to ask Carson. ( So far she didn't have the chance yet. )

Halling headed to the mess hall. It would be nice to spend time with Perna. It would also be nice to be able to share the ceremony of light with a Lantean. He felt there was something good about sharing the Athosian customs in this way.

Making his way in to the mess hall he looked for Perna.

The smell of food grew more intense, as she neared the mess and Perna felt her mouth water. She did miss the food from home, but she found that the Lanteans' cuisine was able to match it.

"Halling," she waved at the tall Athosian, as she spied him looking for her at the entrance of the mess hall. "Am I late?"

"No my dear lady. I have only just arrived. Shall we go in?" Bowing to Perna, Halling allowed her to enter the mess hall.

When it came time to get their food, Halling took some meat, rice and salad and some water and waited for Perna to get her food before going to find a seat.

Perna picked some salad and rice. She left out the meat, but had some tea and water, and let Halling lead her to one of the tables by the window. Sitting down she took in the landscape, it was still snowing softly. Fortunately the room wasn't so crowded around this time, most of the people had had their lunch earlier. But at least it was quiet enough to have a decent conversation.

"This is so amazing every time I see it," she said, pointing outside the window.

Halling smiled and nodded. "I too feel that way too. The city of the Ancients is such a beautiful place."

He looked out of the window as he took a mouthful of food.
