Aren watched the various teams of Lanteans, along with Marran, head in different directions. He turned and gave his brother a smile, which broadened when Juvah walked up to them. Wullam rolled his eyes.
"Come. We will see how Belem wishes to conduct the hunt," Juvah said.
Aren scrambled after her as they gathered around the master of the hunt.

"It is good to be in the fresh air again, is it not?" Belem smiled. The snow was still fresh underfoot, though trodden slightly, and he knelt down and drew a rough sketch of what he'd seen from the jumper window before landing.
"The animals that Jack saw are up in this area here, so we'll head this way," he looked up, "We do not know what type of predators are in the area, or if these animals are grazers, so we will need to proceed with caution."
"Aren, Wullum, I'd like you to take point, you'll need to be aware of what is around you, seeing as it's your first hunt in quite a while. Juvah, you're on our backs. Traan, you come with me. We'll go fast, but steady. Keep your eyes open for anything we may use, or a suitable settlement area."
Belem stood, looking at his pack, "Are we ready?"

Taking his bow from his shoulder he said, "I am ready to go when you are Belem."

She smiled to herself at the important way that Aren and Wullam led the pack. One of these days, when she decided to bear children, if she had not found a lifemate, she might consider one of the twins to father a child. They were both strong and agile, much like their father. Their line would be strong.

Even if they didn't find the rest of his people, they would make a new start here, on this land. They had the Lanteans to thank for many things, but were not without thanks to themselves.
He wondered which of his people would stay on the land, and which would return to the city of the Ancients. He suspected that Traan may be one of those to stay.
"Traan," Belem began, still picking his way through snow covered ground, following Aren's and Wullam's trail, "This is wonderful, the chance at a new beginning, safe from the Wraith. But I wonder, will you be with your people on the land?"

So he answered Belem in the only way he could. "I do not know Belem. I have much to think on as to where I will chose to dwell."
