Day 51, late morning, mail to Sheppard and Weir re: gate travel teams [F]

Jul 24, 2008 21:20

Rodney poured himself another cup of coffee. Since the lab was almost deserted, he decided it couldn't hurt if he put on some music. He selected the first album of Remy Shand and leaned back as the soft, jazzy sounds filled the lab. He tuned down the volume and quickly finished the list for Sheppard, ( then sent it, along with a copy to Elizabeth. )

That was quick, Elizabeth thought to herself, but then checked the time on her laptop and noted that it had been more than an hour. She'd had quite a lot of reading to do, though, and really lost herself in it, which was nice.

Rodney's list included close to ten scientists, from a variety of fields, some of which might not have previously expected to be going off world, but circumstances were different now, and she doubted that any of them would object.

She replied to his email, approving the list, affirming the intelligence of having Heightmeyer look them over, and asking which, if any of them could be placed on a team today to be able to go on the run to the planetary gate.

Suject: Re: Gate Travel Teams

I think for today we may just want to throw somebody together that may not be a permanent team. Assuming we want a real pilot, we're pretty much stuck with Jackson. Zelenka's confirmed as the geek for today. We'll probably want an Athosian hunter. I'm thinking Belem Sayeur if he's available. And then we want at least one more-- probably military, but a scientist would work, too.

I agree. This is only a temp solution. I have to assess the situation again once I have everybody out of the infirmary. Also, I strongly recommend to run a second set of ATA trials, which certainly increases the number of gene carriers.

You're *not* resigning from the team, right? So I only have to find two members. Are you okay with Reichstadt?

Well, you need to have someone with you who'll make sure you find the Ancient goodies.

Yes. Why shouldn't I? :-s
