After his lunch with Perna, Jack had been sent home and had spent the day alternately nodding off and sifting through what data they'd gathered on their Mainland trip. He was hoping another one would be forthcoming

Carson tapped on Jack's door, thinking about Rodney and worrying about Radek and concerned about entirely too many things to enumerate. Perhaps dinner with Jack would be at least a wee bit restful.
Jack heard the tap at his door, having left the balcony door open. He headed through his tiny closet of a room and opened the door, grinning as he saw Carson standing there.
"Yeah," Jack answered, heading out to the balcony. "Looks like tomorrow would be a great day for snowball fights and sledding. If we could find a good slope for it... and sleds."
He carefully picked up the telescope and tripod together and shifted them into the room, sliding the door closed.
"Hard to know what it's doing outside when you spend all day inside without windows."
"Aye," Carson agreed. "I do wish my office had a window."
He sighed. "But at least the mess has one. We could watch the snow from there while we have a bite to eat." Gesturing to the door, he led the way along into the corridor. "How are you doing after the treatment today?"
