Jack crutched quickly into the mess and looked around. He spotted Carson sitting next to McKay. He schooled his features and headed over there. "Hey, Doc. I've got a bit of a situation for you," he went on before he could be interrupted.
Jack couldn't help the glimmer of a glare back at McKay before he got control of himself. The asshole was sitting way too close and Jack could only imagine what he'd done to Carson since Carson's return. "I was on the Mainland. Good news is there is land close by, though we still don't know how big. Could just be a biggish island. More interesting news is that we, ah, met someone there. Name of Ronon Dex. He's what they call a Runner-- the Wraith put a tracking device in the guy's back and then let him go so they can hunt him for sport or practice or something." Jack shook his head. "I'm thinking you might be able to get the tracking device out-- give this guy his life back."
He didn't like the thought of Carson going to the mainland with Jack. Alone in a jumper. But by far he didn't like the thought of there was a tracking device that would attract the Wraith.
"A Runner?" Rodney repeated, shuddering at the thought.
"Oh, dear," Carson said. He shifted uneasily. "I really should go help the poor man." He pressed his leg against Rodney's, not really wanting to go. Who knew what could turn up if there was a tracking device?

Rodney looked over at Jack and glared, shuffling a little closer.
