Aricin came up just as Parrish stopped and turned to talk with Saaren.

"Thank you," Saaren said politely. "Lee. That is easy. My name is Saaren Alatalo, daughter of Lamal Alatalo. You are very tall, like my mother was."

Aricin came up behind her, and rested his hand on her shoulder. She glanced up and smiled. "This is my father, Aricin Haarus. We make bows."

"I am sure he remembers, Saaren," Aricin said with a little smile. "He was there earlier."

"Sometimes, people forget, if they meet many people," Saaren said, and Aricin could not deny the truth of her words.

Marc came up behind Parrish, having finished dividing up the rest of the participants. "Hey, Saaren, Parrish. Doc, it looks like it's us two plus Aricin and Traan left. You care who you're with?"

"Hold up a minute, Sergeant," Ridley said, inclining his head at a group of Athosians headed their way, a handful of expedition members in tow. "I think the Athosians are a tad more relaxed about these things. Don't want to leave them out."
