She does fit very well in Ivalice -- she'd be one hell of a hunter. (I'd love to see her and Fran hunting together. Not in a pairing-y or porny way at all, just -- that'd be incredible amounts of awesome.)

In my variation on the headcanon, this is why Balthier ended up hunting with Fran - his time with Celes really shaped his thoughts on hunting and sky piracy and, to a lesser extent, on sky piracy.

But yes, I may just write that Celes-and-Fran hunting story. Apparently this fic wants to make itself a whole continuity. *headdesk*
