Purse Progress

I've slowed down on knitting my purse, but it's still progressing. Saturday night I got into the openwork section, and the first row of that was brutal. Actually, the first row and a quarter were brutal. The remaining three quarters of the second row weren't bad at all. We'll see how it goes going forward. It looks so good!

And I'm excited to try knitting through the back over beads. That always puzzled me.

I hope the open section gets better. Mine was brutal. I think knitting one row and purling the next was a bad idea. All knit or all purl seems to be ok though :)

I was doing *O Tr S* where Tr is knitting two stitches together through the back loop, and I was having so much trouble with only catching some of the plies of the cord or catching plies of the previous stitches. Even with knitting every row, the third row was awful so I gave up last night and am trying something else. We'll see how it goes.

One of the best compliments you can give! I'm glad it looks good to someone who has seen these in real life. I've only seen pictures online.

I think it's partly the materials. Like the silk thread has the right drape and the beads have the right sort of weight. It has that sort of droopiness that looks right.
