I love it when actors say nice things about each other

It's probably a sign of my moral depravity when it mostly just makes me want to slash them, but it's adorable in a wholesome way, too. From Time's interview with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Mat Damon, and Ellen Barkin (which is just generally hilarious):

What other leading men do you like?CLOONEY: I like Clive Owen a lot. Did you see Children of ( Read more... )

*grin* Oh, I gave up the ghost on RPS long ago. It's just the way it's now basically the very first thing I think of if they say nice things about each other...

*laugh* Ah yes, punditslash is very compelling, particular the Stewart/Colbert pairing. They feed it so blatantly, is the thing. And it hard to not adore them.

Dude I was LOLing throughout this. Nice! Thanks for sharing!

And I agree about the whole Pitt, Damon, Owen, Bale, Gosling, Clooney thing.

Although, I'd probably be just as happy with Bale, Gosling and Owen.

Oh, very good point. I think if I had to rank those 6, current preferences would be: Owen, Bale, Pitt, Gosling, Clooney, Damon. Though that's evaluating each as an individual. The thing is, I loved Ocean's Eleven enough that the combination of Pitt, Clooney, and Damon (or even just Pitt and Clooney, as Damon's not really my type at all) gets additional points, because they have proven chemistry. So it becomes harder to choose...

*grin* Which is why I think I just vote for an enormous orgy.

Christian Bale has been rocking my world since Branagh's "Henry V" came out when I was 15. Not only was he insanely hot even back then, but it was the first time I'd seen someone my own age who could actually act. The fact that he grew up to be (judging from interviews) a very nice guy is icing on the cake. :)

I've had a thing for Christian Bale since Newsies, but it's definitely been picking up in intensity recently. I've never seen Branagh's Henry V. I will have to put it on the list. :)

Note to self - read friends page more often. This is the first time that I've seen this! George Clooney was my first official celebrity crush, and he just gets better and better with age.

Did you ever see Oceans Thirteen? I didn't like the second one, so I'm waiting to hear how the third one was...would you recommend it?

I did! I found it to be much better than the second one -- it's structured much more like the first one, and moves quite quickly and has some excellent moments (especially Clooney/Pitt moments -- Danny and Rusty are so totally, adorably married). Fewer annoying females, one central heist. It wasn't as good as the first, of course, but it was lots of fun and I thought it was well worth seeing. It is very ensemble, and a bit less Clooney-centered than the first, so if the main attraction for you is George Clooney you might be slightly disappointed on that front... And there was definitely less Brad Pitt eating than I would have preferred. Still, I liked it.
