Right, so I'm working in Durham County Council, and while most of the people are lovely most of the time, it can be a little backwards.
And sometimes it can be outright misogynist, homophobic, transphobic and racist.

On Monday the 17th (so next Monday), the wonderful Equality & Diversity department are marking the International Against Homophobia

Rainbow badges are pretty. Maybe you could make some and lend them out to other employees?

I'm afraid I don't have any particularly good articles to recommend, but I will ask around.

Ooh, Coventry City Council was flying that yesterday. I wondered what the occasion was.

It went pretty well, actually. It was lovely to see the flag flying, and I didn't hear any stupid comments.
Unfortunately I was not as pro-active as I had planned to be, as E&E the weekend before rather wiped me out, and I can't find my rainbow badge :(
