Let's see...what's been going on in my life...

Saturday and Sunday involved lots of running around to different stores (all of which are incredibly close) to buy items/food for the house. It also involved eating at the Marie Calender restaurant...fresh baked pie... and finding a place for some good sushi.

sounds like you're settling in well, all things considered. glad you've found a social group already; that always helps when you're new to an area.

Not sure if that will help for getting a license in TX. I know that using a passport to prove who you are trumps the ssn card and driver's licence for applying for jobs. not sure if that helps.

Up in the arboretum. It's called Sushi Sake. It kind of reminds me of a slightly more upscale Osaka.

Everyone tells me about the draft house, I've never made it. Though from what I hear I should open something like it here. Well, now that we have our TV and DVD player, maybe you should come visit sometime. We're a lot closer now.
