DIC, Dedicant Program and being humbled.

Well, I did it. I DIC-ed my first ADF rite with the Cranes. This was also our first EVER Hellenic rite. When I was first approached about doing a Hellenic rite, I was assuming it would be more of a "them humoring me" kind of affair. What actually happened has blown me away ( Read more... )

persephone, adf, three cranes, spring equinox, hellenic festivals, 3cg, the girls, high day

W00T!!!! I SO wish I could've been there for this ritual! It's about time TCG did a Greek ritual -- who better to honor than Persephone and who better to lead it than you!

Awww...thanks, Love! Why wasn't I a Crane while you were still here?? It was a very good rite, and I would have thoroughly enjoyed sharing the ritual space with you. Apollo was called as the Deity for inspiration. I thought of you. :) We offered him properly watered down wine, and he was definitely with us the remainder of the rite.

I really enjoyed the rite quite a bit, and even hearing you say that you screwed up, I can't figure out where it was, so props to you!
It's nice to see something so very different to what we usually do for the high days, and yet it's familiar enough that you're not lost.
Oh yeah, and let's not forget Welsh! Have we ever done a Welsh rite?

Thanks, darlin!

Beltaine is going to be Welsh! Whoo-hoo!

Beltaine is Welsh? Awesome! Wait, giving to Persephone and Blodeuwedd two rites in a row... the flower goddesses are getting the upper hand!

Well, it is spring! I do believe Rhiannon is the DotO for Beltaine. Joe is DIC for this rite. I told him I am not doing anything that doesn't involve my guitar, haha.

(This might be a repost, I couldn't see my original response)

It was an amazing rite. It was clear how much care and passion you put into it and your zeal was absolutely catching!

I'm very proud of you. I could never have pulled that off!!

Wonderful job hun!!

Thanks! It was overwhelming to see so many people freely giving to my patron, people who have never even considered honoring a Greek deity, that I couldn't help but be busting with zeal. ;) You girls made a huge impact on my performance with this dress. This dress is the first piece of ritual clothing I have ever had much less worn, and it took me into ritual mindset as soon as I put it on. Thanks for making that magic real for me.

*hugs!*

You did a great job! The only mistake I noticed is the butchering of Blossom Lifter by the rest of us. XD

I think the problem with Blossom Lifter was that the circle was so freaking huge that if one section switched the order of the verses it was nearly impossible to get back in sync. So we had several versions going round.

It's funny how Persephone (and Demeter) tend to bring folks together (particularly women). It's certainly been true of out Mysteries. It is a truly humbling experience when others embrace and benefit from your vision.

If anyone so much as mentions the word Baltic, contact me immediately, I know too many songs not to help out.
