So something that happened this morning was that my alarm went off at 9, but I decided to be a lazy ass and stay in bed a while longer. The fact that Mari was sleeping on my chest did not help at all. But when my phone went off about an hour later I figured I should answer, so, with cat still on chest, I picked it up.

Recall the same happening to me when I tried to get into a more advanced Japanese class.

Have determined I have no proficiency in any language. Including English.

They don't officially teach it, but the truth about learning languages is largely figuring out how to understand just enough to bullshit your way through a conversation and still sound halfway intelligent.
