Things are going okay. Real Life is your usual collection of working to pay the bills, dealing with those nagging little unexpected expenses that keep chewing into the savings account, and chanting lots of calming mantras while waiting for the stock market to recover...which likely is what life is like for most people nowadays so I know I have lots of company. *insert philosophical laugh here*
Meanwhile my Muse is off somewhere and forgot to give me her forwarding address. (The moody bitch has an annoying habit of going off on unannounced vacations without inviting me. LOL!) At some point I'll track her down, kidnap her, and chain her to the keyboard.
I'm with you on all of that. One bit of advice I read which I'm following is to do all I can to either pay off or transfer higher interest rate credit cards to my lowest- a currently 0% balance transfer offer for a year. It may look intimidating to have all of my credit card debt in one place, but that way I can pay it off a bit easier. And seeing as my "staggeringly high" 3% money market account dropped to 2%, I decided it would do more good to get rid of the higher interest debt rather than trying to accrue low-interest interest. Once the debt is cut down I'll start saving more again. I'm not thrilled about not having much fall-back money, but at the moment my job is secure
