Continuing Saga...

I was unemployed before noon yesterday.  By mid-afternoon yesterday someone had been by to bring my things to me and to demand the return of my badge and mag card.

When I went to pick up my medications this morning late, my Health Insurance had already been canceled.

Pima County.  A loving, tender and supportive employer...jesus.

Check with your former HR to see if your insurance was the type that you paid a month in advance. You may have cause for a grievance if that's the case.

I was much too upset Friday to advocate for myself, but by Tuesday when that world comes back to work, there will be conversations.

Oh no! I'm so sorry!

I'm glad you'll be checking into the insurance thing as others have suggested. My God what a nightmare. Paying for Rxs is bad enough *with* insurance.

And weren't you in the process of filing for disability? Bc I wonder if there isn't some sort of protection for employees doing that under the ADA or somesuch (to prevent retaliation maybe?). I don't really know, but it might be worth checking, too.

It surely is bad enough with insurance.

I am in the process of filing for disability. I will continue with this pursuit and I hope to find an advocate from the ADA Center to help me climb these mountains.

My G-d, never get sick in this country. Just don't do it!
