This manga gets more and more crack. Amazingly, enough.
Shitenhoji D2 leads 1-0 after Koharu nails the return to Kaidoh's Tornado Snake. Inui says you can't judge a book by its cover. Koharu had instantly seen through the Tornado Snake, understanding its gyro rotation. Tezuka says, "So this is Konjiki Koharu, the man who holds more data in his brain than Inui."
One of the Seigaku first years says, then maybe the "homo-esque" show is just part of his calculation...
When Koharu and Yuuji run to each other's arms, exclaiming, "We did it, Yuu-kun!" and "Koharu!" Ryoma smirks and says "Maybe not."
"Don't worry, Kaidoh," Momo says. "There's no way a guy like that could be more of a dataman than Inui..."
Koharu reveals his vast knowledge on Kaidoh: "Kaidoh Kaoru-kun. ♥ Seishun Gakuen Junior High, 2nd year, class 7. Born May 11th, Taurus. Hobbies are collecting bandanas and running marathons. A 'too too shy boy' who's got a soft spot for animals. ♥ When he was in kindergarten, he was often mistaken for a girl and called 'Kaoru-chan' and made to wear a skirt, and he cried a lot. ....And even now, just the other day on the way home from shopping...."
Someone (Kaidoh?) jabs a finger at him and accuses him of being a stalker. Koharu continues, describing the shoes Kaidoh wears, Puma "Sneakers?" Momo points at him and yells, "How should I know???"
The players switch courts, and as Koharu passes Kaidoh, he pats him on the ass. Kaidoh freaks out and grabs him by the collar...and Koharu's got two tennis balls stuffed in his chest. ^__^;; "Hey come on...wait until it gets dark, please? ♥" Koharu says.
"I'm gonna break your skull open!!" Kaidoh yells as everyone bursts into laughter.
The audience is having the time of their lives while Shitenhoji breezes through 3-0.
Ryuzaki says they've been completely swept into the other team's pace. She asks Momo and Kaidoh why they can't put on a poker face. They reply that it's impossible because they're both clumsy.
And so Momo comes up with the brilliant idea of wearing masks. O__x
The judge objects, but Osamu thinks it's hilarious and says his team's done the same, and besides, there's no rule against it. Koharu and Yuuji are rather impressed. Koharu says they've certainly thought up of a clever tactic, and that they look cute in the masks.
Momo hits his dunk smash, which of course, Koharu is able to scientifically break down in an instant. He hits it back, though apparently he drops his racket in the process. This was part of the Momo and Kaidoh's tactics. As long as Koharu doesn't have his racket, Kaidoh can hit his Tornado Snake with success. Which indeed he does, bringing the game to 1-3.
Tune in next week for your crack fix.
