I know posting something like this on my blog is largely preaching to the choir, but I wanted to pass it on anyway.

*sigh* Obama didn't want to rely on the help of 527-groups... but McCain has been hitting below the belt so often, and lying without any pause even after being debunked, that it has brought our election cycle to this lower level.

...so now Obama is calling in the help.

I had so wished the media would have had the backbone to never let these lies pass, but they still stand muted nearly half the time. I guess I should be grateful they at least call McCain and Palin on their lies half the time.

The truly disgusting part is that no matter how many holes you poke in it, people are going to hear these distortions, it will be added to their rhetoric, it will spread virally, and we're still going to see a race that will be neck-and-neck until the 11th hour.

Yet another election that will probably turn out wrong. starblade_enkai September 12 2008, 19:13:25 UTC
This ad pretty much turned me against voting McCain, even when I was ambivalent, so you're not preaching only to the choir.

People are going to vote for the devil they know rather than the angel they don't know. So Obama's going to have to do something big or else the election's gonna go to McCain.

My hope is that Obama is going to challenge McCain's bill. You know, the one that says you can't air issue ads a month before an election or whatever that word salad of a campaign finance reform bill said?

In fact, if Obama does ANYTHING to support third parties in this campaign and election, he will get my vote along with a number of other people who typically vote third party.

PS: I was gonna post more about my thoughts in my LJ but I also want to include this video on my LJ. How do I do it?

Wait for the end of the video. You'll see a screen with both the link and the "Embedding Code". Copy and paste the embedding code into your LJ, and voila.

After the video plays and ends, the video playback area shrinks, revealing other interface elements- one of those is a text area with code for embedding. Just copy that, and paste it directly into an LJ entry. Easy.
