Well, I just joined this, and just wanted to give a Hello.
Also I saw someone post below about the mockingbirds going on display and it reminded me of something.
I was in rehab back in March, and in this you are required to find a higher power, I don't under stand why but apparently you are not recovered if you don't

For whatever reason you were there, there is no reason for the people that try to help you to actually hinder your process by trying to shove religion down your throat. It's horrible they made you leave because you wouldn't conform, perhaps you don't need the help of those not willing to help anyway.

They were biasing it off of the AA/NA Ten Steps, even though it wasn't AA or NA. I did get help in an outpatient place, that doesn't follow the steps.
It was really sad, I think it was messing a few more people up than helping them, a boy was there for over 250 days when I left. They wouldn't let him leave, I'm unsure of the reasons, since girls and guys were not aloud to talk with each other, even though we attended the same group sessions, but I heard him in group and he didn't seem dangerous, defeated maybe but I'm pretty sure he had the same thing going on just he wouldn't say it to the other patients there.
