C/CD Fanmix

Hello!

Just a question for a hot, lazy, *almost* August evening: What music makes you think of Crown Duel/Court Duel? Of Mel? Or Danric? Or the two of them together? What songs are being sung about them (colds included or not :)?

Maybe we could get a fanmix of all the songs that remind us of our favorite characters :)

So I guess I'll throw in my 2 cents, for as much as it's worth:

Mel/Danric (from Danric's perspective) "For the Longest Time" by Billy Joel, reminds me of Danric falling in love after all of his other trials

Mel/Danric (from Mel's perspective) "I couldn't live without your Love" (I know it by Petula Clark, think it's been done a couple of different times) There's one verse that starts "didn't like you much when I first met you, but somehow I couldn't quite forget you" reminds me of the whole "peeking under Savona's elbow to watch Danric :)

Tamara/Russav - don't know the song very well, but it's called "Hurting each other" by the Carpenters, and it talks about how much they love each other, but they do stupid things that hurt each other (flirting, anyone? :)

Hoping to hear more songs to add to my playlist to remind me of Mel/Danric, and the whole C/CD universe!

How could I forget?? "Stay, Stay, Stay," by Taylor Swift! In the song, she starts out throwing a phone, but I think we all know what other objects could be substituted there :) My sister, Books, and I actually created a full length parody of the song for Mel and Danric, and if I can finish putting the video together, we will be able to share with you!! :)

I don't tend to match up music with books, though very occasionally it happens on its own. I'll try and think of some, though, as I'm procrastinating on my report.

"In the Court of the Mermaid" - Friedemann. It always makes me think of Mel and Vidanric at court! Not sure if links in comments are okay, but you can listen to it on Youtube or Spotify.
