Did you do much editing--I know you were going through and looking for typos and things, but other than that, do you feel like there were any notable changes between this and the chapter-by-chapter posting? (Not asking you to *reveal* any, if there were, just wondering if there were or not.)
My compliments to Pati Nagle, because I really like the cover! It's lovely and it fits quite well with the story. My compliments to you as well, cuz the story inside is great fun :D My fingers are crossed for a print edition.
Congratulations! I look forward to the print edition.
Have you read Caro King? A new (two books so far) writer of children's books, published in the UK ("The Seven Sorcerors" and "Shadow Spell"). A heroine of the old-fashioned sort, a nice 11-year old child, intelligent, resourceful, kind and brave, with no discernible superpowers. King has clearly read Diana Wynne Jones with profit.
It will indeed be available through Smashwords, as soon as the volunteers who helped format it finish the epub version. Since this is volunteer stuff, I have to wait on their availability!
