Kaylee had to admit that this whole driving thing would take some getting used to. she was used to just being able to fly over everything that was in the way; this constant turning corners was making her feel slightly woozy.

She watched out the window as they drove to the edge of town, into the obviously more well-off part of town. She realized with a jolt of excitement that she was not going to be an idle observer anymore... she was actually going to live in one of these houses with Simon and River!

Kaylee stared at the house they pulled up in front of. It was beautiful, large and roomy. Kaylee's eyes were full of awe as she stared at it, and she grinned at Simon as he shut off the car.

She looked up at him as he came around and opened her door, holding his hand out to her.

"Come on, I'll show you into the house,"

Kaylee nodded and reached for his hand, carefully pulling herself out of the car, minding her sore ankle.

"Simon, its so big!" she exclaimed, gazing up at the house in amazement.

Simon held Kaylee's hand gently when she took a hold of his hand to get out of the car. He reached out an arm, wrapping it around her waist to steady her as she stood and glanced around, up at the house. He turned and looked over his shoulder, not seeing River lurking in any of the windows. If he got his way, he'd catch her off guard and surprise her.

"Simon, its so big!"

He smiled lightly and nodded.

"Plenty of room for all of us," Simon assured. "I'm sure you'll be comfortable."

He held her tight to him as he shut her door behind her. Tugging her along gently, Simon started making his way toward the house, wary of her ankle. He didn't want her to make the injury worse. He shifted a little so she could lean on him more comfortably as he led her up the walkway.

"Just let me know if your ankle hurts, we can stop for a moment," Simon said softly.

Kaylee wrapped her arm around Simon in return, leaning on him for support as they carefully walked up the walk way. She expressed her amazement at the enormity of the house and was rewarded with a small, warm smile from him.

"Plenty of room for all of us," Simon assured. "I'm sure you'll be comfortable."

"I should think so!" she exclaimed, looking over it again as they slowly made their way towards it. "Its bigger than four of my old house's put together!" she grinned, squeezing the side of his hip where she was gripping him for balance.

"Just let me know if your ankle hurts, we can stop for a moment,"

"Nah, I'm just shiny!" Kaylee said happily, looking up at him. She was with him, soon to be with River as well... aside from Mal and Inara, both of whom she loved dearly, what could she possibly find that wasnt good?

"I should think so! Its bigger than four of my old house's put together!"

"Well it's not that big," Simon chuckled. "You'll see, it's cozy on the inside."

He smiled softly and gestured Kaylee forward, walking with her. He gasped lightly as she squeezed his hip, the sensation tickling for a second. Tightening his own grip on her he led her along up the steps.

"Nah, I'm just shiny!"

He was glad that Kaylee's ankle was alright for the time being. Once they got home he'd put some ice on it for her to bring down the swelling. Reaching the porch with her, he gently held on with one arm while reaching for his keys. He unlocked the door and pushed it open, gesturing Kaylee forward.

"Go on," he said softly.
