It'd be a knock on the door that he'd have to respond to, because Lee found doorbells to be too loud and impersonal. And sometimes they chimed some really awful, jaunty little tune that he hated. So it was a three knock announcement that Ianto would get, before Lee was stepping back away from the door and pushing his hands into the pockets of his (Zak's) trench coat.
It had been a bumpy month. Decorating. Redecorating. Furnishing. Refurnishing. Now she was moving again, things being packed away into their respective boxes.
Ianto's suggestion had made her balk, at first. But it would never hurt to make the effort and mingle with the common masses. If Ianto claimed "Lee" was decent, she wouldn't dismiss him without a chance.
Hopefully moving to a larger house, so Ianto wouldn't have to listen to Integra complain about the size of the tiny flat. Tiny. It was bigger than his house!
Door, please, Mister Jones. That, for whatever reason, made him smirk, and it was with that curl of lip in place that he pulled the door open to see who was on the other side. Though, he expected it to be Lee.
"Ah, you found the place, Lee. No trouble getting here, I'd imagine?"
"No trouble." Agreed with a smile and he glanced briefly beyond Ianto and further into the apartment, before focusing his eyes on his friend once again. "You're good with directions." And Lee was good at following them. "I didn't expect your place to be quite so big, though." Because the poor CAG had no idea he wasn't at Ianto's home. Poor boy.
