Integra Hellsing lived a fairly normal life. Well. Perhaps not normal so much as routine. There were the odd calls in the middle of the night regarding vampire attacks and she disposed of them, ordering Alucard or her men to settle this issue.
It was more often than not she fell asleep at her desk, head cradled in her arms atop the oak finish, wreathed in a blonde halo. She would wake up to Walter quietly setting down a tray with her breakfast and morning tea, smiling just so disapprovingly at her unhealthy sleep habits.
What was not the routine was to fall asleep after hours of paperwork and awaken on a dock midday to the smell of cold, lake-front winds.
Her mind raced, hand drawing the small pistol from the inside of her half-buttoned blazer and pointing it in quick, frantic motions around her. A silver bullet already ached in the chamber as her eyes searched for her captors.
"Alucard?" The elegantly accented voice carried over the water. "If this is one of your tricks, I strongly suggest you stop immediately." Silence came instead of the expected answer.
"Servant I order you to cease and desist!" she shouted, gun aimed and shoulders shaking, a shiver the mixture of fear and unsurpassed rage.
