All in all this whole being stuck in Canada was not too bad especially considering it meant father couldn't find him. Which was a relief actually. he hadn't meant to break the Pimp Stick but apparently it wasn't very aerodynamic.

Oh well. And was that Sev? Why was he milling around in someone's yard, and since when did Sev mill about?

"Sev?"

Severus rolled his eyes as House walked away before turning his attention to Draco. "I will owe you if you'll just help me get through this with my sanity intact. You can be as insulting as you wish, just don't bring up my one night stand with House. It's something we can discuss later if you wish, but not tonight," he said softly.

"Or what little is left of your sanity," Draco retorted. "And I don't want to discuss it." He shuddered lightly. "I just think you can do better." He sighed. "I can be perfectly charming. Won't there be a child there?"

That worked well, as he really didn't want to think about it anymore.

"Yes, a child who will probably try and poison me. Do keep an eye out will you?" he said, smirking. "You're your most terrifying when you're charming. No one would have any idea what a little snake you are," Severus said proudly. He'd like to think he'd had something to do with that.

"I am Lucius Malfoy's son and your godson. It was bound to rub off on me," Draco replied flippantly. "Smart child." He nodded with approval. "I may like her after all, despite her parentage," he sneered at House's back.

Following Draco's gaze, Severus snorted. "Luckily, the child has none of his genes, though I've been told that her mother would do well in Saint Mungos. I've yet to meet her actual father yet."

Standing upright, he looked at Draco, arching his brow. "Shall we go show them how a true Slytherin behaves?" Not that the Muggles would have a clue what that meant, but it didn't matter. They knew.

If he kept that in mind, he might just get through the evening.

"Lucky indeed. And I spoke to the other parent briefly. He seems polite enough. Well at least far saner than him." Draco jerked a thumb in House's general direction. "A far nicer man than he deserves." He shook his head, lips twisting distastefully.

"Oh they won't know what hit them," Draco said with a smirk, straightening up. "Shall we?"

Severus grinned maliciously. "Oh, we most definitely shall," he said, walking toward the group, his favorite Slytherin at his side.

Draco followed, patented Malfoy sneer fixed on his face. One could not be too careful.
