Tim Drake had always considered himself an observant person--even in the worst of conditions he still managed to remember a number of details about the night he'd saved Alice, the one that stuck out the most being she'd come back.

Not exactly the behavior of a victim. That's not to say she had anything to do with the attack in the park.

'That's Batman's level of paranoid.' He said to himself, gliding from roof top to roof top following the woman as she made her way to the shopping district. It had been a while since he'd employed the old skill set, the one that had helped land him the cape and cowl to begin with, but he fell back into the motions easily. He'd once stalked Nightwing halfway across Gotham and the man never had a clueSo imagine his surprise when, glancing down to make sure he still had at least one eye on his query, he was met with a light, triumphant smirk and a wave of fingers ( ... )

Alice managed not to laugh, though her smile did widen just a fraction. He didn't deserve to be laughed at. After all, he had caught himself, and that was impressive.

"I cheated," she admitted with a careless shrug. She was through pretending to be a fluffy, useless Jessica type; this was too important. "I wanted to talk to you."

"I knew it!" Tim exclaimed, retracting the grapple line and shaking out his arm a little. "I knew there was something about you--psychic, right?" He frowned, puffing his cheeks out in the process. "Crap, and I thought I'd gotten better lately."

A slight blush colored his cheeks as Alice noticed though, and a gloved hand rubbed the back of his neck--it wasn't that he wasn't flattered but Alice was...a lot older than Annie.

"Um, about what?" It was times like this Tim wished he really listened to Dick when he mentioned adoring fans. "I...I know I saved your life but I mean, it's my job, I'd do it for anyone..."

Now Alice did laugh, a bit, because his frustration was cute. The blush was cute, too, and she had to hope he didn't notice how her caramel-colored gaze sharpened for just a second as the blood pooled just under the thin surface of his skin. She gave her head a tiny shake to get her attention back on track.

"Oh, it isn't that," she demurred. "I mean, I am grateful. I meant it when I said you were very impressive. But that isn't what I wanted to talk about." Her pale, angelic face had gone very solemn. "I'm not psychic, exactly, but sometimes I get visions. Things that are coming. The evening you saved me, I had one about you."
