Arthur kept his head bent, weighted down with items from the grocer on his way home at a hell-bent speed. There was rain. And then there was this. Some rain was meant to make a man miserable. This rain was meant to make a man insane. It was misting and dripping and then pouring and clinging and was made to soak someone to their skin.

Only people who were touched or people like Merlin would be out in this weather voluntarily.

None of them should be singing.

"Is it normal where you're from to be singing to a puddle?"

Kurt looked up with mild surprise since he hadn't seen Arthur coming, but recovered with a small twirl of his umbrella.

"Normal is for those too boring to try to be otherwise."

"Then you've found yourself in the right damn place." Arthur eyed the twirl of the umbrella with mild amusement, but Kurt got the brunt of his exasperation.

"You're going to become ill carrying on like this."

"That seems to be the consensus of the general public."

Kurt looked thoughtful for a moment, his head tipping to the side, but then he simply kicked his foot through the puddle again idly. "Tell that to Gene Kelly."
