"Ten points from Gryffindor. What are you doing out...out off...."

He voice trailed off as he took in the man standing before him. He couldn't be Harry Potter. Potter was a pimple nosed pre-pubescent brat!

"How is this happening and why can't I apparate home?

"Best I can tell is a really massive displacement." Harry didn't want to put it down to magic. There had to be other reasons for it but it was the idea he came back around to most often. Something was missing that he couldn't remember just then, but maybe if he could unscramble his head, maybe then he'd know what it was.

"We're not the only ones effected, for whatever that's worth to you."

"And what efforts have you made to go back? I assume you've tried Appration, that is assuming of course you passed your test. Bloody hell, you're just a child!

"Across the Atlantic? I like both my feet and head, thanks." Harry rolled his shoulders and let out a gusty sigh. "Tried a Portkey. It dumped me in an open field. Tried to Apparate from there, wound up in an alleyway instead of Diagon Alley. Took a bus to my flat and found it being lived in and not obliterated."

That had been yesterday before he found the online community and went looking back through his own personal entries to determine what the hell had happened. None of it looked promising. The best he got from it was he'd been there about as long as he had guessed and managed to get a job on the police force. Snape had been missing for a time too, which explained nothing either way.

"I'm not a child. I haven't been for a long time now."
