Dairine emerged into the lobby, instantly searching. Though -- luckily for her -- didn't have to look long before she heard her name. Her mouth quirked and she moved in Kimberly's direction, taking her hand for a firm shake. "Hey! Nice to meet you too -- I'm Dairine...duh." She slapped a hand to her forehead.

The messenger bag slid from her shoulder with a thump, freeing her hands to unzip her jacket. Dairine's mother -- or any other concerned guardian, for that matter -- would be appalled at her flippant agreement to modeling (which everyone knew was a codeword for "underage porn"). But then again, not even the CIA had access to the kind of background information Dairine could look up with Spot.

"And it's not a problem, yknow?" She shrugged, her jacket now in her arms, wearing a zipped-up hoodie beneath it. "I mean, if you gotta do a project, you've gotta do it. I get that."

Kimberly smiled in amusement as Dairine brought her hand to her forehead in self-punishment for having redundantly introduced herself. The girl was already taking off her jacket and getting comfortable being inside so Kimberly decided maybe it was best to start in the hotel. She'd pondered a few possibilities for settings and the one that appealed to her the most was the one she was terrified to try. Maybe, she reasoned with herself, being distracted with her work would help distract from the fact that she would be in an elevator. Then she'd use the stairwell as a setting - hiding her excuse not to reuse the elevator to come back down again.

"Yeah, well I mean I don't have to right now because I can't really go to school just yet, but I figure the better prepared I am ahead of time, the less work I have to do when the time comes, you know? But I've never gotten to shoot a redhead and I love your red," she gushed, making a conscious effort not to reach out and touch the girl's hair. "I just think it looks so effing pretty on ( ... )

Dairine bubbled with a little bit of unspoken pride, lifting her chin just so at the compliments. Dairine was the type who adored compliments, always jumping for approval. Sort of like the typical teenager that way. (More than "sort of" in her family's opinion.) "Thanks!" she chirped, rubbing the back of her head. "We're Scottish/Irish. I mean. Y'know...Callahan...Might as well go for the gold and be O'Shaughnessy or something." Dairine snorted and rolled her eyes, flicking a lock of hair out of her eyes.

"I'm cool with elevators, though." She bit her tongue to keep from adding that elevators were chatty bastards if you gave them the opportunity. From the way Kimberly reacted to her Moon photos, Dairine didn't want to overwhelm her with the whole "wizard" thing.

A grin spread over Kimberly's lips at Dairine's comment about her heritage. "I know what you mean. My dad's family is Irish, too. Corman doesn't really sound like it as much as Callahan or...O'Shauhnessy," she said with a huff and a smile, "but I feel ya. Most of my cousins have the red and freckles to prove it but my mom was the brunette; I look like her," she replied. It had always bothered Kimberly that she'd never had the chance to meet most of her cousins in person because outside the nuclear unit, her family wasn't terribly close. She'd never really understood that ( ... )
