Wendy was extremely nervous about this move. Although she had lived with her brothers in the nursery for years, this was different, because this boy wasn't her family, and it was completely improper to live with a boy you weren't married to who wasn't your brother. She tried to push such thoughts aside when she rang the doorbell.
At Troy's appearance, she smiled, or tried to. He was handsome...not magnetic, like Peter, but still very attractive. What was she doing here?
"Good afternoon," Wendy said, trying not to curtsey. "You must be Troy. I'm Wendy."
"Wendy! Hey!" Troy gave her a big grin and held out his hand to shake. "Nice to meet you. Yeah, I'm Troy. Come on in." He held the door open for her.
"So," he said, "this is the living room. There's only one TV in the house but I'm sure we can take turns figuring out who gets to watch what they want, right?"
Wendy moved rather timidly into the living room. Troy seemed to mean the large box on the cabinet when he said "TV", but Wendy had no idea what that box was meant to do.
"I'm sorry. I don't understand," Wendy said. "What is a TV?"
"Oh. Um, well, it's a big box that...do they have movies in your time? Like, you go to a theater and watch a screen?" Troy sure hoped they did, because if they didn't, this was going to be even more awkward.
