Kara fluffed her hair, a most girly reaction to the awkward situation she was about to jump into with both feet.

Gods, what was she going to do? This Gaeta obviously had lived the whole or part of the time line she'd had downloaded into her brain. Part of her didn't want to believe that the chaos she remembered was how it had ended. Yet, part of her knew from the bottom of her soul that it was.

It didn't matter though, that's what Gaeta remembered, so she'd have to deal with it.

She was jolted from her thoughts by a knock on the door. Alright, here we go.

"Hey." she said simply as she opened the door.

He shifted the bag over his shoulder, looking up at Kara without lifting his chin to do so. He flashed an awkward smile.

"Hey."

Rooming with some teenagers didn't seem as bad anymore...

Kara just stared at him.

Awkward was an understatement for how this was.

Finally she'd realized how long she had been stareing. "Um, right, come in."

Gaeta stepped by her. The apartment was entirely Kara, cluttered and rumpled, though it was evident she'd made something of an effort to make it look presentable.

"I didn't bring a lot, exactly." He looked around, taking in the smallish space. From this vantage point, he could very well see most of the floorplan. "I'm looking around for a job right now, but there's not much call for a tactical navigator on Earth."
