Remus clucked his tongue. "Reparo!" he said, flicking his wand in Sirius's direction over the muggle paper he was examining. It was the sort of novel experience that he relished. It was simply charming to see how muggles viewed the world and how they tried to solve problems that were so easily solved in the wizarding community by magic. He did, however, miss the moving photographs.

"You're in a mood this morning," he said over his cup of tea, not bothering to look up from his paper. He was reading a review of a play that was being performed in Toronto. It sounded a fairly miserable affair, though the critic seemed to have enjoyed it. Sometimes, he really didn't understand -sip of tea- why they bothered. It wasn't as though everyone's taste was the same. His tea could've used sugar, but he didn't feel like getting up to fetch it.

Sirius glared at the now-fixed cup, and didn't pick it up again to fill it. Just out of principle. He got down another mug instead, and filled it with coffee. "Am I?" he muttered as he dropped some sugar, not really paying attention to how much. "Well, nice chatting."

He gripped the mug in both hands and headed to the stairs.

He counted the number of plop!s of sugar cubes falling into hot coffee that he heard and gave up after twice Sirius's usual. Not this again. "Sirius, did you leave that cup on the floor for me to trip on?" Remus called after him. Ugh, he's cranky again. Bugger it all. He wasn't going to get up and follow him. He wasn't going to get up and-

He got up and stalked to the kitchen doorway, glaring at Sirius's retreating back.

Sirius could feel Remus's eyes burning through the back of his skull as he stood at the bottom of the staircase. He clutched the banister tighter. "What?" he ground out, not turning around. He didn't really want to look at Remus right now. Seeing him just made everything so much harder, ten times more bloody confusing.
