The grand opening of a cheesy themed fast-food place is universal the world over; You've got balloons that mainly end up trapped in trees and powerlines while some young kid screams at it to come back. You've got "festive" painting in the window of the restaurant's main character saying GRAND OPENING. In this instance, it was a pirate, complete with curly hair, plumed hat, and parrot. Topping everything off, of course, is the character itself in all it's plush, oversized glory, talking to the kids, getting kicked in the shin, pushed, hugged, cried on, and spilled on. This mascot was no exception, completely surrounded by small and not so small children.
The nice weather had the place bustling and the tables outside were almost full. The food was a little greasy, but surprisingly edible for fast food fish. All in all, not a bad place to have an almost first date and certainly not a place to be mistaken for "romantic."
