For Zak, it really was like any other day. Though this was the season that some people (if you were religious) gave thanks that Persephone had returned safely to her mother, Demeter, once again. But Zak, studious as he might have been, wasn't particularly religious. So. It was just another day.
He had, however, done a bit of homework about the holiday that Moira was celebrating, and was amused at how similar it was to the Colonials' holidays. Celebrating spring, rebirth, et cetera, et cetera. It was amusing. And made him think. Either Earth was already their ancestors. Or the Colonials were the ancestors to Earth. Weird. Either way, those random thoughts were pushed aside when he heard the door knock.
Going to answer it, he grinned happily to see Moira. And swooped her up in his arms to give her a proper kiss in hello. "Happy May Day."
Moira couldn't help but grin at her hello. She kissed him back in returning, wrapping her arms around him. "And happy Beltane to you, too." Something might have been floating in the background, but she wasn't thinking about that.
Pulling away slightly, she handed Zak the flower she brought with her. "How are you?" Moira still was concerned about Zak. Having people you were so close to disappear wasn't a quick fix.
"Thank you." He said in surprise at the flower, eyebrows lifting as he looked at it and took a sniff. Then was joking around and made to put it behind his ear. After that, he was moving so she could come in. "Let me put this in water and grab my jacket."
He looked over her as she came in, "You're ready? And what place would give clearance for a Moira-flight?" Zak chuckled, "I was thinking either the park, or the airfield itself."

Really, Zak would have been content with just kissing her in the park. But this was about an experiment! So he pulled away also and then grinned when Moira started floating upwards. If he knew the song from Mary Poppins, he'd have been humming it.
When she jerked, he hurried forward to catch Moira. "You did it." He pointed out the obvious with a grin, holding on to her arms.

Moira held on tightly to Zak when he caught her. "Hm. I suppose I did. I guess next time I'll have to try to not fall so quickly, then." She took a deep breath. Falling from such a small height wasn't an issue. It was the larger height that she'd actually have to worry about.
"Okay. Once more." Moira nodded more to assure herself than anything else.
She closed her eyes and thought of moving herself slowly upwards. Not too high, just high enough. And when she felt that she was high enough, she slowly opened her eyes, all the while concentrating on keeping herself airborne. And there she was. Floating a good six feet above the ground. "Oh, Goddess," she whispered. "Am I being a good enough kite?" Moira called down.
He chuckled, nodding at her assessment. "Please do, because I don't really have that quick of reflexes." Mock threatened before he took a step back.
Zak stayed quiet, though was grinning wildly as she continued to float up, up, and up. He didn't want to say anything lest he break her concentration. Once she got that high, Zak cocked his head and laughed. "I think you are!" Reaching up, he made to grab her leg playfully, but didn't really. Even though he gave her the protective gear, he wasn't too keen on her having to really use it to its full potential.
Moira laughed. "Good to know." She went up about a half dozen more feet, and could see pretty much the whole park. Well this was going to be a neat trick. But she'd only gone up and down. Not every other which way. So, she concentrated herself on going forward, slowly. And she was. Backwards, left and right all seemed to work just as well.
Not without a grin, Moira lowered herself, dropping the last foot or two a bit impatiently. "I guess I can fly," she smiled.
"A maypole? That's the thing with the ribbons and you make a design, right?" He had read up a little on the holiday. And then grinned boyishly.
"Dancing, hm?" That they could do. Drawing Moira up close, he pulled her into a dancing position and started moving with his girlfriend. "That part of the tradition is easy."
She nodded. "With the ribbons and the design. Usually it tends to be the kids who do that."
Moira barely had time to respond before she was pulled into a dancing position. She moved along, laughing. "What are we dancing to?" Dancing may've been easy for Zak. But, excepting when she was dancing with Zak, it had never been simple for her.
"Oh. Um.." He thought about it, and started humming. His voice wasn't wasn't that bad, but humming was not really Zak's forte. Hopefully it worked anyway.
"That's what we're dancing to." He answered her with a grin, twirling Moira around playfully before drawing her back and holding her close.
"So. What's on your list of things you want to do?"
Moira grinned, twirling and then holding onto Zak comfortably close. "You're a lovely hummer," she giggled. Moira hmmed, thinking of what was on her list. "It's long but I'm rather enjoying just dancing in the park with you."

Moira took out the helmet, with a small tilt of her head. "Ready with the things to keep me not broken. Park or airfield should work. Whichever."
