Richie liked a good party too, male or female. In fact, he had gone back to the clothing store where he'd bought his regular clothes--there had been a bright blue party dress with a flared skirt that was calling his name.
That dress was what he wore now when he arrived at the ballroom. He spotted Lulu instantly and smiled, crossing to her and giving her a hug. "Lulu! Hi!"
Lulu was surprised by the hug, but not in a bad way. As a girl, she was definitely a hugger. And hugging was getting decidedly less weird in her boy form. So she hugged Richie back. "Hey, Richie! Glad you came!"
Richie didn't mind hugs as a boy, but he was an enthusiastic hugger as a girl! He had to fight the urge to snuggle against Lulu, however, because his girl side wanted to do that and he wasn't sure that wouldn't turn out strange. "I am too! This is such a fun idea."
He backed away from Lulu, starting to dance to the music. "I guess I'm a better dancer as a girl! I think it's because of the ballet lessons."
Jack was never one to miss a good party and he was a little interested to see what everyone looked like as the opposite gender. Jack stepped into the ballroom, tucking a stray curl behind his ear. He had gone all out tonight, pinning his much longer hair up in something that was messy but stylish. And the dress he wore hugged new curves. High heels and seamed stockings completed the look. The shoes weren't the most comfortable and he had new pity for women who wore them.
He really didn't know who was who and that could be all part of the fun.
Sir Edward was curious to find out who was affected by the latest bout of town madness. But he certainly wasn't going to go out and buy a dress that he (hopefully) would never use again.
So, he'd made do with what he had in his wardrobe - albeit more 'dressy' than his normal attire. His old shirt and cravat were paired with his uniform coat and smart pinstripe trousers and shoes. The hair, though - he tried to do something with that, pinning it up in a way that he remembered his mother and sister doing theirs.
And so, he entered the ballroom, trying to figure out if there was anybody he knew (or who resembled someone he...oh, this was complicated.)
Pellew caught Jack's eye and she just had to laugh. The woman was so obviously out of her element that there was no doubt in Jack's mind that she was another of the gender swapped.
Jack made her way over, not even hiding her grin or the amusement. "You know. A dress would accent your legs nicely."
Sir Edward looked up as the woman came over. The way she moved - it seemed like she was quite comfortable in her own skin. And yet, probability said that she wasn't. Most likely. It was all very confusing for the former frigate captain.
He flushed a little at her statement. "Wasn't going to spend money on something that would hopefully never be used again," he said. "Also, I wouldn't have a clue where to start."
