Matt needed groceries. Last night around 3am he had used the last of his peanut butter and bread, so now he was heading out, holding a few cloth bags under one arm, with a mission. Also with the silly idea of getting actual ingredients so he could make something more complicated than ramen-and-egg or peanutbutter-and-banana sandwiches. Something like... mac and cheese? That was a step up, at least. Maybe.. Pastaroni?
Except Matt wasn't quite sure where the grocery store was, even though he had gone more than a few times before. So he paused on the sidewalk, looking around, appearing more than a little lost.
Ambling by, he stopped when the person not too far ahead of him stopped, and smiled amicably. "Looking for your flock, Lambert?" Lambert, the sheepish lion. It was one of those cartoons that Lorne liked watching, because they had music to them. Silly Symphonies?
Anyhow! The Jolly Green smiled kindly and looked around as well, as if to see if the man with the bags was looking for people. Or if he was looking for a place.
Even before he turned to face the man speaking to him, Matt started to apologize. "Oh, sorry, I think you have me confused with someone el --" And then his voice died! Definitely not because the person speaking to him was green and had bright red eyes and horns. No, just because. A bug. Flew into his throat.
So he cleared his throat. "Sorry, bug. In my throat. Uh. No. I. That's not my name?" Right, there was a fact. Well done, Matt.
"One day, I'll find a person who actually has the name that I nicknamed them. And then someone will be able to knock me down with a feather!" He laughed, amused at the reaction. How could he not be?
"I'm Lorne," Said as he held out his hand. "What is your name?" Since Lambert wasn't it.
