Lulu heard the knock on the door and the puppies bounded to the door with her. Clarinet Marmalade bounded gracefully onto the table. Lulu couldn't quite refer to Clara as a kitten anymore. But she was still small for a cat.
Opening the door she saw Delirium. She grinned. "Del! Come in!" Lulu hugged the girl.
She smiled happily at the hug and returned it, then pulled away to offer the balloon to Lulu. "Balloons to float with?"
It was the first time that she had been to this house, so mismatched eyes were peering inside curiously. Almost hesitantly. But, like she thought, it felt safe. Like a home. So in she went, with Barnabas waiting patiently.
"Princess' animals mind for four more legs?" She asked permission for Barnabas to join in.
Lulu laughed, taking the balloon with a smile. "Thank you, Del." She nodded, ushering the girl in. "Of course he can come in. He won't mind Niamh and Safina will he? Clara's good with dogs. Does he mind cats?"
Delirium paused, listening for a moment as the dog walked in. "Says that he won't mind Niamh and Safina at all. They're lovely names. And cats are alright, so long as they don't hiss." She gave the dog a weird look at that one. People called her strange. Ah well.
"Present was lovely all so! Thank you!" Del had forgotten to say as such at the Valentine's Day dance.

"Friends very nice. Every one person likes you?" Lulu was lovely, and therefore Delirium thought that they should. But people rarely made sense.
