Tamara was just finishing a long squeal of delight from receiving a raspberry on her tummy when Laura heard the knock on the door. Picking the baby up with a grin, Laura kissed the top of her head as she stood. "Let's go see who that could be, Tamara. Better not be the people at daddy's work asking him to come back early, huh?"

Answering the door, Laura's smile widened. "Moira! Look, Tamara, it's Aunt Moira!"

Moira grinned. "Aunt Moira?" She sort of liked the sound of that. "Well, Aunt Moira's here to see your mum mostly, but did manage a present for you." The tall witch presented Laura with the toy she'd picked out for Tamara. "It might not be helpful for about a month. The thing said 3 months and older but...I couldn't quite resist."

Laura took the gift with a smile, then ushered Moira inside out of the cold. "Thank you, Moira," she said as she handed Tamara over to be held by her godmother. "I feel like I haven't seen you in years. How have you been?"

Moira came in, taking off her jacket and other winter weather gear before she was handed Tamara. Kissing the tiny (but growing!) baby on the top of the head, she smiled over at Laura. "Good, fantastic, brilliant, and then several not as fun adjectives. It feels like ages, doesn't it?"

B is for Bill who wants to play ;) Probably after M & L talk for a while.

There was the sound of a door banging open, and a frenzy of barking, and the click of claws on the floor.

"Jake! Quiet!" a familiar husky voice was heard to say. There was a 'wuff' after that, but the frenzied barking soon ceased. A chuckle. "Good boy. Now if only I could get my pilots to behave just as well."

After a while, Bill wandered into the room, a subdued (if only slightly) Jake at his heels. "Hello, nugget," he said, as he bent down to kiss Laura on the cheek. "Would you believe it, but it's still frakking cold out there?" He shook his head in disbelief. "Hopefully I've managed to tire out the pup enough and..." he looked up, noticing the other person in the room. "Sorry, didn't realise we had visitors."

Jake seemed to be more attentive than his master, and soon bounded over to Moira, sniffing her fingers curiously.

Moira smiled up at Bill, leaving her hand out for Jake to sniff. "He probably smells the two puppies from home."

Whoot! *throws confetti*

"That'd be about right," he said, shaking his head, as Jake licked at Moira's hand. "How are your two, by the way? It's amazing how quickly they grow."

Jake was almost adult-sized (and he ate alot more now, to boot).

Thank goodness babies didn't grow as fast as puppies.

"They're good. Not quite as quick growing as he is. They're still puppies. A happy medium of growth between Jake and Tamara, I think."
